Mini Sephora Haul : Kat Von D

Kat Von D products on a white background

When my Dad went on a trip to Vegas a few weeks ago, I practically begged him to bring me some Kat Von D stuff back from Sephora. My Dad is amazing, so of course, he went into Sephora (with the screenshots I sent him of everything I wanted) and picked it all up for me. This was long before Debenhams starting stocking Kat Von D!

I didn’t want my Dad to spend all of my spare money that month, so I only opted for two Everlasting lipsticks in Lolita and Outlaw, and the much coveted Tattoo Liner in Trooper. I have the MAC Fluidline gel liner in Blacktrack, and I’ve used that quite a lot, but I am just rubbish at doing my eyeliner. I get super stressed out really quickly and get a real strop on if I fuck up my eyeliner more than once. I just have no patience for it. The Tattoo Liner just looks like a little marker, with quite a sharp point, for eyeliner so sharp you could stab a bitch. It’s much easier than dicking around with a little pot and brush, and it’s very easy to control for a precise application. It’s also easy to remove, without it smudging during the day, so don’t make the mistake I did of using an oil based cleanser to try and clean it up a bit, because then you’re never getting that shit back on again. It just runs everywhere. I’m a huge fan of matte lipsticks, and I have been lusting after the Everlasting Lipsticks for so long. I’ve read so much about them, but I begrudge paying so much to make it worth messing around with shipping to the UK from Sephora. She has so many beautiful shades to choose from, so I went for the cult favourites to test them out.

Kat Von D Outlaw and Lolita swatches

Outlaw is a beautiful blue toned red, that dries to a brick red when applied. It applies like butter, and does not budge at all. I’m serious when I say this. This lipstick survived eating, drinking, kissing, and I’m confident it would survive a nuclear war. Most lipsticks would crumble at the sight of an enchilada, but Outlaw survived with only slight feathering around the edges. Obviously if you're going to scrub it or eat stuff full of oil, it's gonna come off, but it survives the general day to day stuff.  The pigment is strong, so you only need one coat, two at most, meaning this lipstick should last quite a while, and the lipstick feels incredibly light. It genuinely felt like I was wearing nothing on my lips.

Lolita is described as a ‘chestnut rose’ with a matte finish, and dark brown nudes are my fave. I love statement lipsticks, and although Lolita is discreet enough to wear daily, it’s dark enough to make a statement when paired with a fierce winged eyeliner. The wear for Lolita is the same kind of quality as Outlaw, and survives eating with very little damage.

I did also try Echo, which my Dad brought back for my sister, which is a gorgeous navy blue. I absolutely adore the colour, and I’ll probably buy it when I get the opportunity. Sephora does now deliver to the UK, but you’ll pay sales tax and shipping. I've actually only recently discovered that these taxes include customs charges, so you aren't slapped with charges from Royal Mail! Clever, eh?

If you’ve ever ordered from Sephora online before and had it shipped to the UK, please let me know how it went for you!
