Well, This is Awkward

Liverpool Skyline at Night

Literally only the beginning of December, I'd posted a blog explaining why I'd dropped off the face of the Earth and here I am again.

To cut straight to the point, I've been so hectic the past few months, that I've just not had the drive to keep up with blogging. I'm going through some pretty intense treatment, difficult times in my home life, and it's been madness at work. Over the past month or so, when I get home, all I want to do is spend time with Dave. I've taken literally no interest in any of my hobbies, whether that be reading, writing, or baking. I've fallen into what is a seemingly endless cycle of purely existing.

In literally the last two weeks, I've gotten back into being even interested in writing and playing with my camera. The urge to get in front of the camera is there, and I really want to want to do it, but there's the struggle. This isn't a pity party, but more of an attempt to try and claw my way back into doing what I know I truly love.

Although I still have high hopes for 2017, December and January have taken a toll on me emotionally, and it's just taken a bit of time for me to step back and deal with it. I feel like I can finally peep that little light in the distance. I'm eager to get back to what I enjoy, and you'll be seeing a lot more from me soon!

  1. You've got to give yourself time to get back into your happy place, and you will get there but don't feel rushed or pressured or even like you HAVE to do any of these things. Just take it one thing at a time. Tell yourself you'll read just a few pages this week, or maybe on Sunday you'll whip up a box mix. Just one thing at a time, you're blog will always be here waiting for you :)

If you feel the need to write (not blog) get a notebook and mind dump, no censor, no filter, just put pen to paper and don't stop until your brain stops. You won't believe how therapeutic this is!
